I am a driven individual who loves working with people and fostering a team environment while working together to accomplish goals and tackle issues as they arise.I am the Coordinator over both Sulphur Creek Nature Center and the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, two beautiful nature centers operated by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. As head of our team, I work with our skilled staff to offer excellent customer service, provide District residents with the opportunity to connect with nature, provide care for over 40 animal species, perform educational programs for people of all ages and ability levels, develop curriculum, implement new procedures and protocols to increase efficiency while maintaining effectiveness, as well as collaborate with school districts and other organizations in our area for a variety of events.In addition, I have worked on special project teams for the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Most recently, I worked diligently on the implementation of new booking and registration software, Active Net. The project required collaboration across multiple departments in the District. I assisted in training staff on the new software, aided in inputting large amounts of information into the system, performed system testing, and still work to monitor system performance.
