I am responsible for keeping up to date with the ever changing federal and state regulations including, but not limited to, laws and regulations governing the use of controlled substances in the treatment of individuals struggling with opioid use disorder (OUD). I serve as a subject matter expert to provide guidance and direction to corporate leadership, company managers and clinical staff on the laws and regulations impacting the company and clinic operations throughout the country to ensure that the company managers and clinic staff are operating the centers in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. I prepare and oversee the completion and submission of any and all license, certificate, registration and permit applications; as well as the supporting documentation required by federal regulators, state licensing agencies and pharmacy boards as required for the lawful operation of the company’s outpatient opioid treatment programs (OTP). I create and maintain an electronic and/or hard copy filing system for organizational records pertaining to clinic licensing, registration, certification, permitting and inspections.I serve as the company’s point of contact with federal and state regulatory agencies and facilitate communications with those agencies on issues critical to the company’s clinical operations, including, but not limited to, mandatory clinical inspections, system audits and related regulatory inquiries. I provide guidance on unique federal or state regulatory issues that arise during government agency regulatory audits.
