Transitioned from a front-end to a full-stack role.

As one of the starting members of Bandhan-Konnagar's new Information Technology group, I am responsible for coding and managing an internal IT project. I am also the front-end specialist in this group, and working towards developing and maintaining user interface design and coding standards for the organization.

Responsible for understanding business requirements from the project manager and explaining to the front-end resources. Mentoring them when necessary.

As a full-stack software developer, I was responsible for writing the API endpoints to be consumed by the web and mobile front-ends, and also contributed to the web user interface. Used Sendgrid's mailing API to set up an automated email system.

Instructor for CSC 116 (Introduction to Programming in Java), and teaching/lab assistant for a variety of computer science courses. Responsibilities included delivering classroom lectures, giving in-class exercises, grading, and also facilitating laboratory sessions, including being a scrum-master for student groups.

• Learned the existing codebase, and familiarized myself with the Azure framework. • Built the web user interface using HTML and CSS3. • Used Ajax functions, in combination with jQuery and Knockout, to facilitate interactive functionality andasynchronous update with server calls.

• Was a developer in a large-scale ASP.NET project, focused on maintaining a bank of test questions. • Learned and used Windows Services to enable communication between different layers of code. • Added several new functionalities to the existing code based on the client’s requirements, includinghelping to add a new type of test question to the database and code part of the interface for questionauthors to create/edit them.

• Worked on the web front-end of WedPics, an interactive photo-sharing mobile app for wedding couples.• Was responsible for developing the admin dashboard, which would be used by the wedding couples and other administrators to facilitate smooth management of the app.• Developed and tested functionalities like adding administrators to the app, and also placing orders for customized WedPics invite cards.• All the server-side coding was done using PHP, and the CodeIgniter MVC framework. The client-side coding was done using JavaScript and jQuery. Used AJAX for client/server interaction. I was primarily responsible for developing views and controllers. Occasionally, worked on models and wrote model functions that interact with the database.• Did considerable work with JSON, as I coded the AJAX calls to return JSON object(s), and parsed those JSON objects to update parts of the web page.• Was part of the research team to design and develop the functionality to upload wedding photos via web.• Developed the photo slideshow feature of the online wedding album completely by myself. It was based fully on JavaScript/jQuery.• Developed the administrative management portal to be used by the company for efficient management of the orders placed, and various other aspects of the wedding.
