The project ‘Promoting Market Transformation For Energy Efficiency in MSMEs’ aims to promote the implementation of energy efficiency in the MSME sector; to create and sustain a revolving fund mechanism to ensure replication of energy efficiency measures in the sector; and to address the identified barriers for scaling-up energy efficiency measures and consequently promote a cleaner and more competitive MSME industry in India. The project has the following objectives: i) Promote implementation of energy efficiency in the MSME sector, particularly targeting the micro units that constitutes more than 90% and need support for technology induction; ii) Create and sustain a mechanism that would ensure replication of energy efficiency measures in the sector; iii) Create a revolving fund by apportioning a part of the revenues from the aggregator that would sustain the activities beyond the life of this project; and iv) Address the identified barriers for scaling-up energy efficiency measures and consequently promote a cleaner and more competitive MSME industry in India.

Job Responsibilities:- Coordination and advising of the project field teams on technical and process aspects as well as on planning, management and implementation of activities.- Support in achieving successes in the pilot cases taken up under various core topics of the Sustainable Industrial Development (SID) thrust Area on demonstration basis and to support in scaling-up/replication of the successful models.- Promotion of stakeholder involvement and strengthen the linkages with governance agencies to promote successful models/solutions from the SID thrust area into the policy levels.- Support in capacity building of the partner agencies involved, including in organizing/conducting workshops, conferences, awareness programmes and training programmes.- Assist the Programme Coordinator of the SID thrust Area, as may be required from time to time in planning, management and implementation of various activities, including activity planning, preparation of Operational Plans, preparation of TORs for national/international experts to be engaged, sourcing additional funds, achievement of the set milestones/results/indicators etc.- Knowledge management, including preparation of progress reports, documentation of case studies/pilots, preparation of material for brochures, information material and other outreach material and preparation of material for regular updates on IGEP/SID websites

As Programme Manager (Climate Change & Environment' I was responsible for facilitation of CDM (in both regulatory and voluntary) projects including identification of CDMable projects, assessment of CDM potential as per the CDM guidelines, estimation of emission reduction potential, preparation of requisite CDM documentation (PIN, PCN and PDD), and assisting and guiding the project developers at various stages of CDM project cycle covering Host Country approval, validation, registration, verification and identification of emission reduction buyers and negotiation on the carbon trading /transaction. In the field of Environmental Management I handled good number of assignments related to EIA, Solid waste management, Environmental audit and due diligence, performance evaluation of pollution control equipment, Environmental studies. I also lead a very successful 'Energy Efficiency' project in the steel re-rolling sector.
