CurrentThe project ‘Promoting Market Transformation For Energy Efficiency in MSMEs’ aims to promote the implementation of energy efficiency in the MSME sector; to create and sustain a revolving fund mechanism to ensure replication of energy efficiency measures in the sector; and to address the identified barriers for scaling-up energy efficiency measures and consequently promote a cleaner and more competitive MSME industry in India. The project has the following objectives: i) Promote implementation of energy efficiency in the MSME sector, particularly targeting the micro units that constitutes more than 90% and need support for technology induction; ii) Create and sustain a mechanism that would ensure replication of energy efficiency measures in the sector; iii) Create a revolving fund by apportioning a part of the revenues from the aggregator that would sustain the activities beyond the life of this project; and iv) Address the identified barriers for scaling-up energy efficiency measures and consequently promote a cleaner and more competitive MSME industry in India.
