Customers are mainly owners of video assets who would like to monetize their content online.; Role overview:Provide ongoing technical leadership in addition to hands on development for VideoMarker Pro - the flagship product for metadata authoring. This tool is written in C# and is a desktop application. There is a backend (business layer) comprising of Java servlets for this tool which communicates with the Database (Mysql) and processes the metadata (XML).Key responsibilities:Work as a Software engineer within a small (3 person) development team - with complete ownership of metadata generation tool.Implemented web services for a SaaS like environment for metadata management, utilizing Java 1.6, XML, MySQL, Apache Tomcat, Amazon EC2 among other technologies. Design, develop and document features for VideoMarker Pro in C# for functional and patch releases. Provide support and technical guidance to the client team (frontend) for their server side architecture - which is comprised of Java servlets to handle business logic and a MySQL Database.
