Research InterestAnalysis, implementation, development and applications of numerical methods for seismic wave propagation.QualificationsI have experience implementing numerical methods, including finite element and finite difference methods. As part of my PhD dissertation and my postdoctoral research I have developed a parallel software to simulate acoustic and elastic wave propagation using staggered-grid finite differences, spectral elements and discontinuous Galerkin methods. The parallelization is done using OpenMP and MPI.I have also analyzed the accuracy and stability of the finite element, spectral element and discontinuous Galerkin methods for acoustic and elastic wave propagation.
