Experience in phase-field and Monte-Carlo modeling for predicting the development of anisotropic grain boundary character (GBCD) during microstructure evolution in ceramics and face-centred cubic metals. Exposure to FEM methods in mechanics. Developed skills in code development in C/C++ and texture analysis (orientation mapping) using EBSD. Developed experimental skills (such as processing and sintering ceramic mixtures, ceramography, electron microscopy and diffraction) while working on a freeze-drying procedure to make porous ceramic structures

Developed a model for mass and heat balance in an electric-arc ferrochrome furnace by using a procedure of minimization of adjustments. The model was used to predict routes to minimize impurities like sulphur and manganese while maintaining the requisite productivity. Tools used include Fortran and Microsoft Excel.
