Led the product and engineering teams that built, managed and operated the platform and infrastructure services for eBay. Our team was responsible for all of eBay’s infrastructure ranging from data centers to cloud, platforms, frameworks, data and analytics, engineering services and operations. Developed and championed eBay's open source culture and was responsible for numerous critical innovative open source projects from eBay - including Apache Kylin, Eagle, (both graduated to Apache Top Level Projects), Pulsar, Parallec, GZinga.Our internal private cloud offered an integrated and diverse set of cloud technologies and services that includes compute, storage, network, application, frameworks, databases, analytics and data services. Our open, agile and flexible platform enabled eBay to deliver the world most innovative connected commerce platform through cloud-scale services and infrastructure. The development platform provided application developers with a robust execution environment with world class manageability and built in scalability. The platform constitutes of a collection of eBay hardened systems and frameworks for building web applications and services that includes key application server technologies, middleware, data access, caching, security, service frameworks, messaging configuration and central logging.I was also the executive sponsor of eBay’s China Development Center.
