A graduate from Stirling University, I have over a decades experience in working with children and young people who have faced early life trauma and supported young people who often lead chaotic lives. This includes those who are both care and justice experienced. I am skilled in building relationships with young people and their parents/carers. I am skilled in undertaking specialised risk assessments to meet need and mitigate risk, including START-AV, AIM 3 and Outcome Star. I am experienced in multi-agency work. I am passionate about children's rights, ensuring young peoples voices are heard. I previously worked in a Local Authority setting within Children's Services for 15years as both an Early Intervention and Prevention Worker and a Youth Justice Project Worker. As the Training and Support Team manager at Stirling Community Enterprise, I am committed to developing a range of employability, life skills and personal development programmes and initiatives across the employability pipeline that are accessible to all. I have been involved in developing a community that supports people to gain vital life skills such as confidence, resilience, teamwork, pride, creativity, and aspiration, and I aim to strengthen community cohesion and tackle inequalities. Through nurturing relationships, Stirling Community Enterprise supports participants wellbeing and helps them reach their full potential and overcome barriers. I have worked tirelessly to have a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. I am passionate about the key messages and values outlined within The Promise and promote the principles of a whole family approach to supporting children, young people and their families. I am passionate about ensuring the service is trauma informed, person centred and adaptive to need with learners voices always at the forefront.
