I am passionate about my family, my country and the next generation of youths. I started my career as a lawyer, for the first 3 years in litigation followed by 16 years in the corporate field. As a partner in a leading boutique corporate law firm, I welcomed problem solving & negotiations, and enjoyed pulling things together to conclude deals whilst working alongside team members from different fields. I gained valuable experience being the lead lawyer in over 35 major corporate transactions, with a focus on initial public offerings, acquisitions and debt restructuring.From 2015 until early 2022, I was part of the founding team of Projek57, a social enterprise which aspires to influence youths from multicultural backgrounds with nation building values, as well as empower indigenous Malaysian youths. Projek57 was awarded the PRCA Malaysia Community Award, and is also part of the pioneer batch of social enterprises to be accredited in Malaysia, with tax-exempt status by the Ministry of Finance. In April 2022, when an opportunity presented itself, I joined the law practice of Adnan Sundra & Low, where I am able to combine my legal experience with management. What drives me is exploring business strategies and ways in which legal practice may be enhanced, especially with our next generation of lawyers in mind. In addition, I am excited to be involved in the firm's pilot project involving long term green financing under its ESG Desk. Although no longer involved in the day to day management of Projek57, as a founding member of the Projek57 team, I am still involved in its' business strategies moving forward.
