As the Chief Student Affairs Officer, responsibilities include oversight of a comprehensive student life program nurturing community spirit, leadership, citizenship and meaningful connections between (among) students, faculty, staff and the greater community. Responsibilities include fostering an environment for student success through diverse experiential learning opportunities and offering a broad range of services that promote the development of healthy and responsible global citizens. Working cooperatively with other major areas of the University, further responsibilities include establishment of University-wide policies, development of key programs, and ensuring financial accountability that minimizes risk to the institution. Key relationships are maintained through reports to the university board and serving on committees such as the University Executive Council, Deans’ Council, Provost Council and as an ex officio member of the Student Housing Foundation.
