Dedicated church ministry and nonprofit leader, serving in numerous roles for over four decades. Currently I lead Merced's faith-based pregnancy center (a CA state-licensed medical clinic). At Alpha PHC we value human life from the moment of conception. We love and affirm women and provide services and resources at no charge, while also helping them choose Life for their baby and for eternity. I am blessed everyday to be part of this Kingdom work. It's been an amazing privilege to serve as part of CAFO's leadership team. Spent 10 years as a columnist with the Merced Sun-Star newspaper, driving all over CA's Gold Country and writing on topics related to foothills history and events, and a city girl surviving country life.As a pastor's wife, lay ministry leader and women's ministries director, I've worked with women and teens in various capacities: small group leader, Bible study teacher, Creative Writing teacher, chaplain w/ local Sheriff's Dept, counselor, etc. Each role has contributed to developing my leadership, organizational, relational and communication skills. My training hasn't come from university degrees, but through decades of mentor-ship, private study and perseverance, with a deep desire to lead well and reflect Christ.I taught our two children at home. Both are grown, are skilled writers/communicators, and are successful in their vocations.Some of my short stories are published in regional books.
