Part of the facilitation team delivering the General Practice Improvement Programme (GPIP) to practices.

Working as part of a new national pilot providing coaching and/or mentoring support to Practice Managers and members of the primary care team. I have completed relevant training and am supervised by the Faculty of Medical Coaches to provide coaching. As part of another piece of work I have already successfully mentored a Practice Manager with excellent feedback

I am part of the RCGP practice development team (previously resilience support/special measures team) which provides expert advice to practices who need development/resilience support or are deemed inadequate by CQC. I am an accredited feedback facilitator helping users interpret their 360 degree HLM reports during a dedicated feedback session. Research into 360° feedback has shown that the provision of quality feedback via a coach or facilitated session plays a crucial role in encouraging managers to accept the results and initiate behavioural change.

I am available to provide interim practice management, project support, expert guidance and mentorship in all areas of business, strategic and compliance management. I also have a wealth of experience in compliance work to assist practices meet their contractual obligations by ensuring robust systems and processes are in place. From 2011 to late 2016, I worked at a large 20,000 multi site practice in Harrogate for 5.5 years, initially as Operations Manager and then Practice Manager. I was responsible for operational management of the main site (which had 16,000 patients registered) and responsible for compliance across all 3 sites. I am responsible for all aspects of business, operational and financial management, strategic planning, HR, finance, IT, NHS and CCG contracting and performance of the practice.In April 2018, I was appointed as Lead Practice Manager for the Wetherby locality (covering 5 practices with a total population of circa 35,000) working on transformation of NHS services in line with new models of care for the local population.
