Human Resources Assistant
CurrentAssist the HR Director in the performance of his duties and other duties as assigned. Demonstrate exceptional human relations skills through friendly and effective written and spoken communications. Provide leadership regarding benefits, staffing, interpretation and application of personnel policy and labor relations issueDemonstrate extreme accuracy and attention to detail, applying strong grammar, spelling and proofreading/editing skills to all written communications. Prepare and compose letters, resolutions, memos, reports and other documents as directed in an accurate and efficient manner, within mandated timelines.Work with HR Director on employees Leave of Absence/FMLA Administer the policies of the district related to personnel, the maintenance of all files and accurate completion of all related records, reports, including:Work with administrators to review staffing allocations and recruit high qualify personnel to fill positions availableAssist in maintaining and ensuring the proper implementations of the district handbookPrepare job descriptions in accordance with the Department of Public Instructions (DPI) license recommendations, district requirements and insurance company recommendationsInvestigate and resolve employee grievance and complaints Facilitate the district’s Wellness Program/Workplace Clinic Maintain all staff personnel Coordinate the Employee Assistance Program; inform employees and families of programAdminister all Worker’s Compensation Claims Effective and efficient time/task management skills including planning, managing and organizingOpen Enrollment/BenefitsWisconsin Retirement SystemShort Term/Long Term DisabilityEEOC Reporting
