Working alongside Family Health Teams to provide medically supervised lifestyle intervention for patients as part of the CHANGE program. It succeeds where other interventions in the past have failed, by helping family doctors, dietitians and exercise specialists in primary care settings work together to improve the overall health of patients with lasting benefits.Based on evidence from diet and exercise research, the CHANGE Program focuses on long-term changes and overall well-being. It simultaneously targets the conditions that often progress to high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, while reducing the need for medication.

Working in an interdisciplinary team alongside other healthcare providers in order to administer an array of tests as part of a comprehensive preventative health assessment for Medisys executive and occupational health clients.- Perform Stress and Resting ECG Testing, dynamic fitness and strength testing- Perform Functional ability fitness tests for our occupational clients- Worksite and return to work fitness evaluations- Other testing includes Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision testing, Drug screening, breath alcohol screening and venipuncture blood collection. - Creating fitness evaluations for employers based on the physical demands of a specific job. - Provide feedback and fitness related information to and answer clients’ questions- Manage clinic flow, patient co-ordination, and other administrative duties. - Onsite health fairs, lunch and learn presentations, and other wellness services.

Promoting physical fitness and health by providing education, group led exercise classes, and incentive programs for staff. Assisted with physical fitness testing by setting up equipment, recording scores, and interpreting results.

On-site campus internship

Working alongside physiotherapists to administer rehabilitation modalities such as ultrasound, IFC, TENs, as well as heat and cold treatments. Supervising and educating patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises.
