I’m the Chair of a new non profit The International Centre for Responsible Tourism global, which is part of a global independent network looking to share knowledge training and insights in Responsible Tourism. As a business leader and communicator I am trusted by senior leadership, boards, stakeholders and staff to support them to flourish and to deliver results. I successfully ran my own business for twenty years as well as leading the travel communications and marketing team at Four Agency Worldwide for more than a decade. I have always focused on sustainability and my work has included launching The Travel Foundation in the UK. I became a trustee of this charity in 2014 and I now act as Vice Chair. In 2024 I became a Non Executive Director of Responsible Travel.

We are the hub of a global network on a mission to amplify the 2002 Cape Town Declaration on Responsible Tourism and the 2022 Responsible Tourism Charter. We will do this by providing online training courses, bespoke training for organisations, and manuals and guidance to support Universities to create Responsible Tourism courses. We will also run events and lead the Responsible Tourism Awards with real world experience from winners then fed back into its training programmes.

It develops dedicated cancer policies for organisations, confidential coaching for both the person with cancer and their line manager, training, drop in clinics and best practice guides. Working with Cancer also provides free webinars on how to return to work successfully after cancer. -
