Accounting Officer
CurrentAll essential accounts payable function: responsible for the audit, payment and reconciliation of service contracts in accordance with Government Code, State Administrator Manual, Departmental procedures and the Prompt Payment Act. Also responsible for other types of payments such as co-operative agreements, lease, training, legal and advances. Prepares inputs and monitors accounting transactions into the accounting system (AMS Advantage). Perform research, analysis, corrective action, and reconciliation of Accounting records to identify erroneous postings in the system and on various reports such as the Error File, Duplicate Payment Report, General Ledger Reconciliation, Out of Balance Claim Schedules, and Multi- vendor contracts. Encumbers and disencumbers funds as necessary. Provide customer service to Vendors, District and Headquarters' Personnel. work independently and as well as in a team environment, have effective oral and written communications skills.
