Provided applications support and supported cost reduction efforts. Power topologies included forward and fly-back designs. Led team responsible for defining “Design for Manufacturability Guidelines” for Board-Mounted Power products.Application Engineer - Supported in-bound customer application calls (800# support) and answered technical questions concerning power systems product line. Topics included breadth of issues (EMI / noise, in-rush protection, stability problems, etc.). Responsibilities also involved defining product requirements for future DC-DC power converters and reviewing incoming opportunities for DC-DC power converter products to determine if they were consistent and aligned with the product strategy. Project Manager - Led project execution for board mounted DC-DC converters. Coordinated cross-functional activities, developed and managed project schedules, and served as customer interface for project-specific issues. Performed market analysis (House of Quality developed) to define product requirements. This included developing and conducting customer surveys and interviews.Manufacturing Process & Test Engineering Manager - Led a team of engineers accountable for functional test yields, quality metrics, and manufacturing cycle time. Test engineering group was also responsible for test development efforts to support new product development efforts. Additional quality improvement efforts entailed leading a cross-functional team to evaluate and revamp the Product Realization Process in order to reduce time to market and improve the transition of new products from design to manufacturing.
