Assisting our client's with their Industrial Deafness and CTP Motor vehicle accident claims. Largely autonomous role with supervision from Senior Associate. This role incorporates all aspects of the claims process from taking initial client instructions, drafting notices of claim, assisting with rehabilitation needs, IME processes and quantifying of claims, attending compulsory conferences with Counsel or informally negotiating settlements directly with insurers. Attending to day to day running of the Industrial Deafness practice, speaking with new enquiries and providing advice on their eligibility for industrial deafness claims, preparing all documentation in relation to their claim and providing advice on medical reports through to finalisation of the claim. Drafting submissions to Regulator for Application for Regulator reviews for rejected industrial deafness claims and completing submissions to Medical Assessment Tribunal when required. In addition, where necessary I provide assistance to clients in relation to workers compensation statutory claims for work injuries including drafting submissions to the MAT in relation to their injuries.
