CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate services firm. CBRE was responsible for the management services contract for the RBC portfolio of Office and Branch properties across Canada. The services provided included, Lease Administration, Accounting, Project Management and Space Management.Debbie was primarily involved with space management and the administration of a web-based CAD Drawing library. She coordinated the monthly updates to the Drawings used in RBC's chargeback system. Using a rate per sq.ft. basis Property Taxes, Rent and CAM Costs were charged back to cost centres. Debbie ensured that all drawing data updates were complete, i.e. leasing updates, administrative updates and furniture updates. She was in direct contact with the client (RBC facility and program management) and she, also, managed a team of CAD Technicians.

Royal LePage Advisors (now Cushman & Wakefield) offered consultancy and valuation services to private and public sector clients. Debbie gained experience in Shopping Mall Appraisal. She prepared Appraisals in Argus and assisted in the preparation of Appraisal Reports. She, also, assisted with consultancy projects, by providing market rent predictions to assist with client budgeting requirements.

Prior to a buy out by DTZ and then Cushman & Wakefield, Donaldsons was a medium sized firm specializing in Property Management, Valuation, Building Surveying, Leasing and Investment. Debbie's role at Donaldsons was primarily involved in the management of Shopping Malls and Outlet Malls, on behalf of Landlords. Debbie's duties included: • Landlord and Tenant Issues• Lease Administration• CAM Cost Reconciliation• Rent CollectionDebbie was, also, involved with office leasing, rent reviews and valuation.

Employed by Hamilton Glen, retail specialists providing leasing, consultancy and professional advice for new and existing shopping mall developments. As a co-op student Debbie assisted in a small leasing brokerage firm. She spent 4 days a week working at Hamilton Glen and one day a week studying at Paisley University, where she completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in Urban Property Appraisal.
