Maidstone

My clients include the elderly, the disabled and those with dementia. I often arrange medical appointments, assist with post and paying bills. Caring for clients as required i.e. personal care, providing companionship, supporting and empowering them to remain independent in their own homes. Cooking meals, domestic duties, taking clients out on day trips and shopping.

Maistone

Supporting a single client with muscular dystrophy; which involved all his personal administration i.e. banking, medical appointments and arranging household repairs. Also providing companionship, cooking meals, working out his dietary requirements, domestic duties, encouraging him to leave the house (he was agoraphobic); preparing his cough assist equipment to clear his lungs every day and fitting his aspirators for either the night or day.

Maistone

Administrative work associated with planning care calls for carers, liaising with multi-agencies i.e. social services, hospitals, other care companies and families to ensure that clients received the care appropriate for their needs, at the right place and at the right time. As well as ensuring there was always cover holidays and sickness. Attending multi-agency meetings as required. Liaison with the clients to ensure that they were happy with the service they received. I dealt with 114 elderly, vulnerable or disabled clients who I would visit either weekly, fortnightly or monthly to check that they were receiving all the services they were entitled to such as Government benefits and grants, help from local and national charities, and help with personal financial issues.
