After 32 years I have officially retired from public education!

Responsible for the logistics of relocating and re-configuring two schools on to a single campus. Work included physical space allocation, support for school personnel, all aspects of managing the physical aspects of relocation allowing the principals and their teams to focus on hiring and organizing the reconfiguration in a single summer.

Oversaw turnaround efforts and programming in 19 of the 41 federally identified SIG schools in Kentucky. The work took place in the largest school district in the state and in one rural district north of Louisville. Successfully assisted exiting the rural school district from priority status within the minimum three year time line through effective assignment of education recovery staff and working directly with the superintendent and district staff to ensure appropriate support and oversight of the work. The work in the urban district included training for staff of the unique needs of urban schools, assisting the district in examining resources and matching resources with needs, monitoring school plans and federal grant expenditures, as well as continued data monitoring and systems work to address identified areas for improvement.

Coordinated university engagement in the federally identified SIG schools in the Jefferson County, Kentucky and OVEC service areas including providing site-based technical support as needed.

Accomplished classroom teacher for 17 years in grades 6-9. The majority of the time was spent teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies, Ancient World History and Early American History respectively. Coached soccer and contributed to the culture of the school by sponsoring numerous 7th and 8th grade class trips and activities.
