Growing up in central PA, I wanted to be either a flight attendant or a truck driver in order to see the world. When I graduated from high school, I joined the military as a Combat Medic and was able to combine my love of travel and helping people! It was one of the best decisions I have ever made!Having spent 20+ years in the military, I was able to do and see things from different parts of the world that most people never will. I retired from the North Carolina National Guard in 2018 as Medic / Proponent Certified Instructor and then QA. Some of the courses I have instructed include the Healthcare Specialist / Combat Medic Course, NREMT-B, AHA CPR and the Combat Lifesaver Course.When I am not traveling the globe, you can probably find me on a volleyball court, baking for my family/friends/co-workers, doing yard work or learning how to paint!!Someone once said, "if you find something you love to do, you'll never work another day in your life." Being a recruiter combines my passions for helping people and internet research (genealogy) with talking to people. I love connecting people that are passionate about making a difference with a great opportunity in a company that is changing lives for the better.This video is of my high school classmates' journey with their daughter who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and ran out of options. Clinical Research saved her life. This is just one example of why I love doing what I do.
