I am a regular contributor to Leeds Living website (Art, restaurant, theatre, music and event reviews) and Talk of the Town Magazine (Saltburn and Loftus editions.) Other commissions have included BBC Travel, Yorkshire Life, Dive, BBC Countryfile Magazine, RHS Garden magazine, Yorkshire Art magazine and Corridor 8. I am the author of Everyone Welcome a book that remembers and celebrates the importance of libraries.

I enjoy writing micro-fiction, flash fiction and poetry.I sometimes enter these onto competitions and have had a number published.

Inclusion Manager - Project Leader for Barnardo’s in partnership with Kirklees LEA working to include students in resourced provision mainstream secondary school and to improve inclusion.Ran courses for school staff, social workers and other care staff. Worked with academics at Cambridge and Manchester universities on research projects related to inclusion in education.Between 2002 and 2004 worked on providing training to schools.

Responsibility for SEND provision in school at a time when Newham was moving to an inclusive education system. Included in the school a number of children who had previously attended special schools including a child with non verbal autism. Responsible for the deployment of Learning Support staff and liaison with curriculum areas.Involved in overseeing primary to secondary transfer. Teaching mathematics.
