Moving back to 5th grade - my favorite grade! Looking forward to learning new curriculum (said no one ever!) and working with some amazing kids to reach new heights in their academic careers - having a whole lot of fun along the way!

New teaching position, new district, fresh excitement!

Found my true passion as teacher extraordinaire of fifth graders. I strive to build relationships with each of my students and their families creating a team approach to preparing my students for middle school. Strengths include differentiation of curriculum, utilizing data to inform and evaluate instruction, collaboration with all colleagues, and having fun at my job.

Taught a 1/2 combination where differentiation was key. As a title school, our students were highly impacted by poverty. I worked to meet the needs of each student, providing a fun and exciting educational experience that fostered their love of learning.

Adapted science kit lessons for all grade levels and implemented those lessons for K-5 students at Hunt Elementary. Strengths include condensing instruction into manageable units hitting all essential standards with a limited schedule; classroom management; time management; collaboration with peers; differentiation.

Planned differentiated instruction for a wide range of learners. Assessed and evaluated student performance based on assessment results and teacher observations. Collaborated with team members to design, plan and implement instructional strategies that reached all students. Member PBIS team and Building Leadership Team.

Provided differentiated instruction in a regular education classroom meeting the needs of a variety of learners. Strengths: differentiation of academic instruction; building relationships with families; collaboration with teammates and other staff members.
