As a Senior Data and Insight Analyst at Kirklees Council, I manage a variety of analytical projects, collaborating both within the Council and with external partners. Leveraging tools like Python, I apply data science techniques to conduct analyses such as regressions and forecasting, transforming raw data into compelling, actionable insights. Additionally, I focus on enhancing business processes related to data flows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to optimise data capture, storage, validation, analysis, and presentation. By fostering collaboration within the Council and with partner organisations (including the University of Huddersfield), I contribute to continuous improvement and the achievement of strategic objectives.I help set and implement best practice standards, driving the adoption of advanced analytics across the organisation. This includes upskilling colleagues and champion data literacy across the organization, empowering both individuals and teams to harness the full potential of data. This involved recruiting participants from local schools and colleges. Furthermore, my research projects employed mixed methods including questionnaires, daily diaries and cortisol sampling.
