I am a Marine Biologist with 8 years experience monitoring the marine environment. My main focus is in phytoplankton taxonomy but also fish, zooplankton and benthic fauna taxomony and biology. I currently monitor seawater samples for the presence of non-native and harmfull microalgae from ballast water and phytoplankton monitoring for the Water Framework Directive. I also lead surveys on research vessels conducting fisheries research, oceanography, water quality, benthic grabs and underwater video.
