The Safety Team members have established an excellent reputation on several aircraft platforms, for both Military and Civil aircraft, delivering certification documents. I have the privilege of leading the Safety team, who have over 30 years experience in the Aviation Safety field and a broad range of Safety Skills that can be transferred in to a great range of other industry platforms, the basis of the Safety tools being a transferable skill. We are able to provide solutions on a range of Safety related topics across the project life cycle, these include: FHA, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, DD, SSA (Safety Cases) MMEL/DDG Certification Requirements (Civil and Military)The significant strength of the team is further enhanced by the close knit team to over 200 years of whole aircraft experience though the whole lifecycle.

Woodford

Integral member of highly regarded Safety and Reliability team; with leadership responsibilities for the Safety team at Woodford. • Worked on many safety projects, for both internal and external customers, producing safety documents such as Functional Hazard Assessments, Preliminary System Safety Analyses, System Safety Analyses and Trade-off Studies under both civil and military requirements. • Involved in Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) investigation following a tyre failure incident on a civil aircraft. • Successfully proposed additions and amendments to Master Minimum Equipment Lists (MMELs) for civil aircraft. • Represented BAE SYSTEMS as industrial partner in Department of Trade and Industry funded research project, providing Safety Reviews and System Trade-off Analysis as well as liaising on technical issues. • Champion for use of technology in support of Safety Analysis, developed in-house training package for use of FaultTree+ and worked with software supplier to initiate additional features in FaultTree+. • Conversion of Reliability Block diagrams (or Dependence Diagrams) in to Fault Tree for external customer with very positive feedback and follow-on work. This work also included improvements to the system models as a result of the conversion e.g. greater detail of the systems modelling was possible with the Fault Tree tool.
