My dream job is to be a docent at the Milwaukee Art Museum. I would love to inspire people with stories of eccentric artists, monumental works of art and the history of how Milwaukee acquired a world-renowned collection of artwork. However, it’s a volunteer position and I still need a job that pays the bills. My other dream job, since the sixth grade, was to be a fashion designer. Kohl’s gave me that opportunity 10 years ago when I was offered a full-time position as an apparel designer after I had been freelancing there doing technical sketches. I had just accepted a job as creative director for another company but Kohl’s made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I love learning new things and I couldn’t walk away from the challenge of reinventing myself.Today, I am still reinventing myself and learning new things. At StoreMasters, I’ve been leading their marketing and social media development as well as working with the Interior Decor team. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities. I am passionate about design in everything I do. Whether it’s a cheeseboard for two, an entire house to decorate or even choosing the perfect outfit, I have the who, what, where in mind. My goal is to help people create experiences and environments that tell their stories.
