Latest update to my career is a move to MeridianLink. My job now will be to share my experience with ML Opening and ML Consumer with other financial institutions! My financial institution career began out of a simple downturn on my luck. I had been subject to a layoff at the company I worked for so I just had to have something. A good friend of mine worked for Listerhill Credit Union and suggested that I apply since I was so good with money! Lucky for me, I did. I began work in April of 2001 with Listerhill. I began as a part-time teller. I quickly became a full-time teller and served in that position for almost five years. In January of 2006, I was promoted to the position of Training Coordinator. As Training Coordinator, I was responsible for organizing, preparing and presenting training in all areas of the credit union. I trained new tellers, as well as targeted training for new projects, follow up training (reminder courses) and of course regulation training for 235 plus employees. I was involved in the planning stage of various projects implemented by our Credit Union and followed it through to training the staff.In August 2011, I was promoted to Operational Development Director. In this position, I will be striving to leverage technology to enhance the overall operations of the Credit Union. The credit union philosophy of people helping people is not only a slogan but is now a way of life for me.
