The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare. I return drivers to work as quickly as public safety concerns will allow.I am a provider for the Health Professionals Services Program (HPSP). The purpose of HPSP is to provide a statewide confidential monitoring program for licensed healthcare professionals who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder and/or mental health disorder.

I provided in-person, short-term, solution focused counseling to both individuals and couples. I facilitated presentations and trainings at client organizations related to wellness, skill building, and EAP orientations. I provided comprehensive case management and referrals to specialized services such as substance abuse treatment, psychiatry, and on-going psychotherapy. I provided consultation to Human Resources and organizational managers about employee workplace performance issues and behavioral concerns.

Adolescent client base was SPMI with Co-occurring Substance Abuse Disorder in the Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) program. Participated as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and completed assessments and interviews with clients and third parties to plan and develop client service plan goals and objectives. Revised and updated client plans and ANSA when necessary. Intervened in emergency situations to prevent further decompensation by client. Provided transportation, placement assistance, advocacy and assistance with daily living and other client support services. Collaborates with other client-serving agencies, (primarily Tamayo House, SAY, VOICES, Creekside, Buckelew, A Step Up, Crisis Residential Units I & II, Crisis Stabilization Unit, homeless shelters) to ensure the most supportive environment for each client. Assisted and supported clients in making the best use of community resources that may help promote self-efficacy and independent living skills. Facilitated weekly AOD education and support group and DBT Skills group. Proficient with EHR/EMR: DCAR and AVATAR.

I provided clinical services in an adolescent residential treatment facility in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team consistent with Hazelden Betty Ford's Standards of Care. I diagnosed and assessed client's level of chemical dependency and then based on the diagnosis made a recommendation for a level of chemical dependency treatment. Facilitated group therapy and individual therapy sessions. I wrote progress reports and discharge summaries and worked with 3rd parties such as at lawyers, probation officers, and sober houses and other mental health professionals. I also created PowerPoint presentations and shared them to groups of 70+ family members who attended the Saturday family support groups.

Primarily responsible for delivering sales revenue, as well as cultivating and developing new advertisers for the Telemundo's owned and operated multi-platform properties. Worked at the local and national level with clients of all levels of business from large cap, medium and small businesses. Met quarterly targets by identifying and prospecting new businesses at a high level of entry. Grew annual revenue from $1 million to $6 million in 4 years through new business development.
