Working with the property General Manager, Assistant General Manager and the SVP of Corporate HR established improved employee communications at this 24/7 workplace. Instilled greater accountability of HR functions in order to establish trust internal and external to the department. Member of the property Executive Committee.Recruited top talent to the department and trained others to take on increasingly large roles in the organization. Moved the property to a common annual review date in order to assure timely performance appraisals and salary increases. Maintained a "no layoff" policy, reducing staff through attrition and performance channels as required. Successfully managed the HR integration of Horsehoe with Harrah's Entertainment during the 2005/2006 aquisition of our property by Harrah's.

Was the first VPHR to "spend a day in the shoes" of many entry-level roles including Housekeeper, Laundry Attendant, Buffet Cashier & Hostess.
