I was a Financial Sales Executive, part of a small Complex Deal Team. I was aligned to IBM's Signature, Strategic and Select Dedicated Accounts. I was fully integrated with the wider IBM teams supporting these Accounts and regularly attended and contributed to Account Planning sessions. The majority of my Accounts were large Banks, Government and Health. My responsibilities include;- Supporting both the IBM Brands and IBM's Business Partners to maximise and accelerate their sales.- Pricing to support the IBM Business Case, deliver on customers' cash flow requirements and hit the metrics required within our business. - Securing the necessary credit, pricing and contractual approvals.- Working with our Legal team to construct innovative contracting vehicles for our Government clients - I closed a $100m SW deal and two $15m Hardware deals with a large Banking Client, deferred payment achieved by integrating financing terms within the IBM contract.

IBM Global Financing was one of the largest IT Financiers in the UK.Key to ongoing success and continued growth in the UK were our relationships with our Business Partners in the Channel.As a Business Partner Relationship Manager I was aligned to a number of our key Partners, all highly specialised in selling IBM Hardware, Software and Services (often a combination of all three) to a varied customer base which spanned both the Enterprise and Mid Market space.My role was to work alongside the Sales Teams within IBM and, my colleagues within IGF who were aligned to Customer Accounts, to drive incremental revenues through the Channel. I was responsible for all aspects of relationship and account management but a large part of my time was also spent on pricing and structuring individual transactions.

I joined BT as a Management Accountant on the £120m pa DFTS Contract (servicing the MOD's IT and Telecommunications requirements) which was, at the time, BT's largest PFI Contract. I worked my way up and became Acting Financial Controller. I was responsible for managing the accounts team and presenting results to the DFTS MOD Board as well as up my BT Management line.I completed my CIMA qualification and then moved across to a Leasing Role as BT was in the process of recruiting a Panel of external Funders to service the varied needs of its' huge portfolio of products and, varied customer base.I spent the last 6 years of my time at BT in a targeted Leasing Sales Role. I gained experience across a number of channels notably the BT Local Businesses, stand-alone businesses licenced to sell BT equipment and Services, the Service Providers within BT Wholesale and BT Engage IT and BT Business Direct (now BT IT Services).My role was one of Account and Relationship Management. I was the interface between BT's end customers, sales teams and, Panel of Funders. I worked alongside all three parties to ensure that BT's customers had access to the most competitive, fit for purpose finance offerings.
