The Association of British Bookmakers (ABB) is the trade association representing the UK’s high street betting shops. The ABB represents and promotes the interests of 80% of the sector, including William Hill, Ladbrokes Coral and Paddy Power Betfair – and almost 100 smaller independent operators. The ABB engages with the Government, the Gambling Commission, Local Authorities, politicians, medias and other stakeholders on behalf of its members to ensure that gambling regulation is responsible, balanced, and proportionate. The ABB also runs campaigns aimed at protecting members and their customers, and to maintain integrity in the industry through the promotion of best practice.

I worked as a Researcher with Westminster Forum Projects, primarily on the Policy Forum for Northern Ireland division. I monitored public policy developments in the Northern Ireland Assembly and organised impartial, senior-level seminars on key policy issues.

Completed a graduate traineeship with the EU Agency Eurofound (European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions), in the Employment and Change unit.
