Debbie (DipWSET, she/her) is the founder of Quvé, a beverage agency established in 2020, with 20+ years of sales and marketing leadership across all Canadian provincial markets. She is a certified wine educator and currently teaches at George Brown College - Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts.A vocal champion for women of colour, Debbie is also co-founder of Canadian non-profit Vinequity.You can find Debbie as a regular drinks expert on national news show CTV Your Morning. Debbie is also a consultant for Artisan Distillers Canada as well as judge for CASC (Canadian Artisan Spirits Competition). She also works with Futurpreneur as a alumni volunteer and guest speaker.Previously, Debbie was on faculty at IWEG Drinks Academy in Toronto, volunteered as Diversity Committee lead for the provincial trade association Drinks Ontario, served on the Board of Directors for CAPS Ontario (Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers), judged for Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants and Intervin Wine Awards, and pulled a few corks as guest sommelier for top Toronto restaurants such as Barberian's Steak House and BlueBlood Steakhouse.Passionate about cultures, Debbie speaks fluent French, as well as some Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Mandarin, in addition to her native Cantonese and English.
