"That's a really good question," is a sentence I hear a lot at work. I’m naturally curious, always asking questions and eager to learn. I've found that in digital marketing these qualities help me better understand my target audience and build a strategic plan. I also use my empathy and compassion to put myself in my audience’s shoes and think about how they want to be reached. After work, I’m listening to a celebrity memoir audiobook and cross-stitching. What I do: • I manage a brand’s digital presence to share their story in an impactful and engaging way. I excel at developing strategic online campaigns to drive success.• My genuine curiosity, strong communication skills and holistic view of marketing continue to guide my career. It's helpful to team members when I'm asking "why" and thinking about the goals of a project. • Co-workers describe me as proactive and able to look ahead and anticipate future issues. I approach campaigns from a qualitative and quantitive approach, crafting a meaningful story rooted in data and analytics. • I’m a natural notetaker, always taking notes by hand or in OneNote. This helps keep me organized. Expertise:Skills: Brand strategy, content creation, copywriting, donor communications, influencer marketing, interviewing, paid social media campaigns, photography, project management, videos and writing Tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Drupal, Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sprout Social, WordPress, Basecamp Value add:I believe in leading by example since this allows me to show what needs to be done, leaving little room for doubt, and getting everyone on the same page. I wouldn’t ask something of my team that I wouldn’t be willing to do. I am willing to roll up my sleeves and work alongside my team, showing a strong work ethic and dedication to achieving our collective goals. What I bring to the team is a strong record in relationship building. At the heart of it, I'm happiest when I'm engaging with people, learning what motivates them, and then strategizing about how we can help one another. I find that in marketing some people can be overly transactional or speak in jargon or abbreviations. I think my superpower is in establishing more meaningful connections and using authentic language. I've gotten strong feedback in the past about my ability to form connections outside of my team. Often in meetings, I’ll chime in, “Oh have you talked to so and so in this department?” I enjoy connecting with people and helping others build relationships too.Email me at DebbieWakefield10@gmail.com
