Award-winning copywriter, Creative Director now fine artist.I've had a love affair aligning pictures and words, ideas and inspiration all my life. After dedicating my creative energies to positioning brands and creating effective marketing campaigns, I'm now focusing on the fine arts. As a contemporary artist, I’ve explored a range of subjects, styles and mediums. Now I’m most intrigued by capturing light in my abstract and landscape works of oil on canvas. My new series "LIGHT TOUCHES EARTH" explores the beauty of natural light as well as its spiritual, ethereal and ephemeral nature. The series seeks to inspire viewers and provide a place of calm and intrigue. Bonnell Rd, Austin.Throughout my life, I have been deeply influenced by the natural world. Thus my artwork has often focused on simplified landscapes, breaking down elements into their basic shapes and forms. This led to an exploration of full abstraction, which I love. Well-known artists such as Wayne Thiebaud, Richard Diebenkorn, Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Edgar Degas and Pierre Bonnard have influenced my work. I'm equally inspired by current working artists such as Krista Harris, Tony Saladino, Richard Barrett and Richard Claremont. Whether painting large or small, abstract or representational, I'm guided by design, balance, movement, texture, rhythm, contrast, energy, harmony and color. My works have been exhibited locally and across the US. I'm blessed to have had many private collectors acquire my work. Finally, I believe a life that integrates all our talents and joys makes us better humans.
