With a robust knowledge of and familiarity with the inner workings of an academic medical center, its processes and culture, I have been able to effectively maneuver through the bureaucracy inherent in these types of organizations. I have the success of analyzing situations and making complex decisions in how to improve processes, the confidence to handle risks and affect change, and the wherewithal to shepherd resources to get the job done. I now have the great fortune to bring my skills to the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute, working alongside world class researchers, doctors, and staff. My interest in health care leadership coupled with my Masters in Management from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service, as well as a Certificate from the Health Care Leadership Institute at Baruch College's School of Public Service (via the Greater New York Hospital Association), have enabled me to work towards health equity and equal access to opportunity, which are top priorities at Duke.
