Dan is also a Co-Founder & Advisor of Model B, an innovative and rapidly growing digital marketing agency, where he is responsible for the company’s financial management. Prior to Model B, Dan served as the Chief Financial Officer of Quantitative Financial Strategies, a large single family office spun off of QFS Asset Management. Before the business’ spin off, Dan was the Chief Financial Officer of QFS Asset Management, a $2.2 billion multi-strategy hedge fund manager. In these roles, Dan successfully institutionalized hedge funds through implementation of new technologies and processes, as well as oversight of the internal accounting and reporting functions, tax compliance, investment management, human resources, and full corporate operations. Prior to joining QFS in May 2012, Dan served as Chief Financial Officer of Ramsey Asset Management, a long/short equity hedge fund manager in the Washington, D.C. area. Dan’s previous experience has also included Executive Officer and Financial Advisor for Octagon Financial Services, a leading wealth advisory firm catering to professional athletes, artists and entertainers. In recent years, Dan has also served as an angel investor for several early-stage companies. Dan holds a B.S. in Accounting from the George Mason School of Management, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia.
