I am the Office Manager for a small family-owned construction business. We specialize in repair and refurbishing countertops made from solid surface (e.g. Corian & other brands), quartz, granite, marble, concrete and butcher block. Our work is done both in residential and commercial settings. I frequently go into the field to inspect and quote jobs. I also have worked extensively on jobsites assisting in repairs. My active volunteerism began in 2008 when I worked in Carson City, NV before the Nevada caucuses in January, and I was involved with organizing in the Napa Valley before the CA primary in February. To compensate for my deafness and inability to use a telephone during phone banks, I did data entry into VoteBuilder the program used by the Obama Campaign for maintaining voter records. My husband and I were local Neighborhood Leads. Despite the economy, we donated $2500 to the campaign, in hopes our efforts would pay off, which they did. I coordinated campaign events and phone banks in our home. I volunteered at the Democratic Convention in Denver, and Santa Fe, NM. In October, I organized a group of volunteers to spend three days in NV where we were involved in door-to-door canvassing to Get Out the Vote. I did data entry exclusively during the final days of the campaign which ultimately led to Barack Obama's undisputed win to become our next President of the United States.

Matrix, which is a non-profit organization providing support, information and referral services to families having children with disabilities and special needs. My job was primarily the Database Manager. In addition to the database work, I was the Assistant Bookkeeper, and Newsletter Editor.

I worked as a full-charge librarian evenings and weekends for the synagogue. My job entailed working with the Education Director to improve the quality of the library's youth book collection.

During my employ in this law firm, I was responsible for entering the time attornies spent on their various cases and I generated invoices to our clients. In addition I prepared deposits for the bank and entered the cash into client records to maintain their accounts.

I owned a small word processing business in San Francisco. I did technical writing, newsletters, college papers and resumes as needed by customers.

I was a clerk-typist in the Medi-Cal/Medicaid department from July 1977 through July 1979. I then received a promotion and became the clerk-typist in the Adoptions division. In addition to doing clerical work, I assisted in the development and execution of a special outreach program for deaf citizens which assisted them in applying for social service benefit programs. I was involved in this outreach program from January 1980 through April 1983.

I performed routine clerical duties pertaining to misdemeanor and traffic violations, maintained court calendars and statistics on cases handled within the department.
