The SLCC Energy Institute has grown to be Utah’s premier provider of education and training for the highly-skilled workforce our energy community depends on. The programming focuses on three key areas of the energy industry: Energy Management, Solar Photovoltaics (PV) Systems, and Lineworker Training. A Program Advisory Committee continually reviews existing curriculum and the potential need for new courses to ensure the programming is up to date with industry technology, trends and applicable codes.Courses and programs are offered as credit and non-credit and are designed to accommodate both working professionals and traditional students. Coursework is completed through a combination of on-line learning, classroom instruction and hands-on activities. State of the art equipment provides real-world experiences to better prepare students for entry or advancement in the energy workforce.
