Designer at BETA Group, Inc. Landscape Architecture Division. Prior to my current position with BETA I had been employed by Gates, Leighton & Associates, Inc. (GLA) for more than 20 years. I have a strong understanding of Landscape Design and Graphic presentations. During my tenure at BETA|GLA I have assisted with drafting and revisions of site plans, the compilation and formulation of master plans, research and analysis, and the production of graphic presentations. As a Designer and Project Coordinator my responsibilities include preparation, co-ordination and presentation of projects to town committee meetings, co-ordination with consultants and contractors, and provide organization to a project. BETA works on a wide variety of projects that include Public, Commercial, International, and Residential. Some notable project work includes organizing and assisting in the management of the Savings Bank of Maine multiple branch expansion, improvements to the Gardiner Waterfront Park including interpretive graphic panels and kiosks in Gardiner, Maine; mixed-use transit oriented development in Brunswick, Maine; and development of a "safe routes" to school plan in Jamestown, RI. Additionally, I have worked on a variety of resort projects throughout Egypt by corresponding through the GLA Cairo, Egypt office.Prior to joining the BETA|GLA team I was a full time student at Hall Institute of Technology and received a certificate in Architectural and Interior Design. I started my career at GLA as an intern, and was a member of the GLA team for over 20 years.
