With nineteen years of direct experience as a technology transfer professional, Debi is the senior licensing associate in MITRE’s technology transfer program. In managing the broad array of technologies developed by MITRE technologists, she works effectively with research scientists and engineers across various disciplines. She is expert in drafting and negotiating agreements with strong knowledge of legal issues and contract terms. She operates with the highest ethical standards and uses her strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with others at all levels of the organization and the business community. Using a partnering approach to working with licensees, she has played a key role in moving technologies from the lab to the marketplace for greater impact. She holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, the CLP professional licensing credential, and a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She serves on committees of several professional organizations and has particular interest in working with first time entrepreneurs, in the Washington, DC area.
