Responsible for managing complex Uniform Guidance Compliance audits of Major Health Systems located in multiple States, working remotely, including assuring quality of audit procedures following Government Auditing Standards; identified and resolved technical issues and internal controls findings for Uniform Guidance audits; directed, supervised, taught, and mentored Staff performing tests of controls and substantive testing.

Responsible for technical leadership and quality control for complex employee benefit plan (EBP) audits; signing partner role; specialized in IRS plan qualification and DOL/ERISA compliance to resolve technical issues identified in complex defined benefit and multiemployer defined contribution plan audits; co-developed and co-led two-day niche/industry training for college hire staff onboarding; updated employee benefit plan audit testing resources and coordinated to roll out Firmwide; and completed projects to improve local office audit effectiveness.

Philadelphia‐based Actuarial and Benefits Consulting Firm: Led the firm's defined contribution operations with responsibility for quality control, financial management, technical processes and client service; served as a resource for employee benefit plan audit-related issues across the organization; led and contributed to several CBIZ Retirement Plan Services National projects, including development of standardized Third Party Administration (TPA) contracts, strategic planning for implementation of the anticipated DOL Fiduciary Rule, TPA fee reasonableness analysis and Small Plan Vendor Program financial feasibility analysis.

Led Grant Thornton's Philadelphia Area Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Audit Practice specializing in audits, financial reporting and regulatory compliance of defined benefit and defined contribution plans, including plans which required 11-K filings to the SEC; signing partner and concurring review roles for EBP audits; responsible for all aspects of client service and Practice economics; led Philadelphia Area EBP business development activities; developed EBP audit resources, including testing templates rolled out across the Practice for increased quality control and efficiency; contributed to Firm‐wide EBP audit methodology; developed National and Local Office training materials, and served on the Firm's team that performed the Peer Review of a Big Four accounting firm’s EBP audit practice.

Responsible for internal development and implementation of the Firm’s new employee benefit plan (EBP) audit methodology, including risk assessment process, audit programs and audit execution templates adopted by the Firm for the 2007 audit season; quality control of EBP audits to pass AICPA Peer and PCAOB reviews; signing partner and concurring review roles for EBP audits; client service and tax reviews, including resolution of technical EBP compliance issues for adherence to DOL and IRS requirements; and coordination of internal EBP training.
