About Debi Nikkel

I have over 25 years experience in the steel industry. The past 10 years in the tar sands have been a great experience. As a planner I have come across some of the vessels I welded, inspected and signed the "birth certificates". Prior to the field, I started as a welder in a pressure vessel fab shop. Moved on to inspection and eventually became the QC Manager. I am proficient with ASME Sect. VIII, IX, B31.3, API, CSA and ISO codes and standards. I have proven ability to interpret and implement codes, standards and customer specifications. I work well under pressure always maintaining the ability to pay particular attention to detail.

Duties included (but not limited to) ITP adherence and sign off, identify and track NCRs, welders qualifications and continuity, calibrations and daily visual inspections. I was successful, as the company representative, in the ASME renewal certification.
