My professional life started out in Social Services. I got my degree in Social Work from Millersville University and worked with children in varying capacities for many years. In the fall of 1999 I suffered an injury to my spine that exacerbated an injury that I had in 1991 that resulted in several back surgeries. This time the injury left me bed ridden for several years as we tried to put the pieces of my spine back together. When I was finally able to work again (after a double spinal fusion) no one would hire me because of this injury so I had to come up with a new plan.....it was at this time that the Vintage dream was born! It took me five years to find a space I could afford but once I did we managed to put a store together in three weeks! It has now been four years and seven months and Vintage is still thriving! I am a very lucky and grateful women to be able to make this dream come true!
