"I want to help people see and feel the benefits of being healthy through education, exercise progressions and goal setting." I graduated in May of 2005 from Lake Washington Technical College. I have an AAS Degree as a Fitness Specialist. In July of the same year I received a Certificate as a Personal Trainer from American Council of Exercise (ACE). This is my third or fourth career change. This time the profession chose me. After years of pain I was in search of a doctor that could give me answers and not another pill. I met a doctor that told me the only cure was to exercise, eat right and get plenty of sleep. I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (a non articular rheumatic disorder characterized by pain, tenderness and stiffness of muscles). I really thought this doctor was as crazy as the others. But this time the doctor was right. I started off with physical therapy and a lot of hard work at the gym. This turned my life around! I wanted to take knowledge and experiences from my own life, from being an unhealthy adult to one that can do anything you put your mind to. I've learned it's never too late to start. Before going back to college I was a Technical Designer for the Boeing company from 1986 until 2003. I designed structural aircraft parts for the 747/767/777.
