 In charge of developing, from the ground up, a Finance & Accounting shared service center. The Seattle Center of Expertise (Seattle COE) was one of 45 accounting “hubs” created within Red Cross as part of a broad multi-year strategic initiative to consolidate and centralize humanitarian operations in the US. The Seattle COE in essence was tasked with replacing local financial resources and processes and thus became the de facto finance director and controller for 18 chapters with over 40 Red Cross locations in 4 states: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Washington.  Designed and executed an implementation plan which guided the successful “on-boarding” of assigned chapters into the Seattle COE. Hired, trained and supervised a staff of 10 during this on-boarding process. o Seattle COE among the first to complete on-boarding chapters (out of 45 COEs) and nearly 20% under budget.  Responsible for full accounting cycle of multiple locations in multiple states which included:o Daily transaction processing of A/R, A/P, payroll, Grant funding support.o Full monthly close through generation of financial statements for all client chapters on-boarded to Seattle COE. o Success accomplished though solutions and processes designed for automation and rapid scalability.  Met monthly with numerous chapter finance committees and / or full boards to review monthly financial performance in an honest and supportive manner. Worked as trusted finance partner to support effective delivery of programs and mission of Red Cross in each chapters local community while supporting National Red Cross initiatives and strategy. Responsible for the annual external audit of consolidated financial statements. Unqualified opinion. One of only two COE’s in the country (out of 45) to achieve a consolidated audit in first year which translated into savings of $120,000 or nearly 70% over prior year audit fees. 

General Accountant. Monthly GL, Account and Bank Reconcilations, prepare Journal Entries. Generate accounting procedures. Generate and prepare monthly and quarterly reports realting to overhads, payroll, taxes, benefits and special regulated programs.

Oversee administration of product placements and logistics at major retail accounts such as Linen's n Things, Sears, Saks, May Dept Store Group etc.Successfully built and maintained relationships with buyers, logistics managers to ensure PCF was exceeding ou customer's needs and expectation with regards to fulfillment of the supply chain while minimizing credit exposure and risks.
