Debnath Bera, Alumni of Ivy League, Cornell University & Marist, New York is an entrepreneur with core competence in technology and business. Engineer at 20 from College of Engineering Guindy, was a Commonwealth Scholar at London Metropolitan University having done PGD Computing and later an MBA in International Business. He has commissioned more than 3500 Megawatt of power plant across India in first 10 years before leaving for US. In 2005, Debnath founded an NGO DebAgni Foundation, to give back to the under privileged communities of Jharkhand, the boon of using solar power in the remote areas.After working 20 plus years in the US and leading as Principal Advisor for Fortune 500 Companies in Wall Street, Debnath brought his expertise to Ranchi in 2017 on the invite of Govt. of Jharkhand in the field of Solar Power and Consulting Services. Debnath founded a Solar Power startup Ranchi Partners. He is credited with commissioning the State of Jharkhand’s first Grid connected roof top solar power plant with net-metering in the residential segment. His company won the Best Green Innovator Award of 2018. Of, one of the success ventures, Debnath designed and developed an off-grid 100 Kilowatt Solar plant for a private 95 bedded hospital near Ranchi, that is running 24 X 7 with zero diesel consumption since 2020.He is passionate to bring about prosumerism in the renewable energy space and make Jharkhand, a truly green energy state.Debnath a licensed private pilot of Cessna-172 loves drinking brewed coffee, reading, playing chess, nature camping and spending time with his family & friends.
