I've always had a hunger for education, and through my 20 years of helping Buyers and Sellers with their real estate needs, I realize an even larger need for continuous education. Real Estate InstructorWilkes Community College 2016 - PresentWilkesboro, NcI teach Real Estate Pre-Licensing and Post-Licensing classes at Wilkes Community College for the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Anyone interested in a career in real estate must pass a 75 hour Pre-Licensing Class prior to sitting for their license. Once they pass their Licensure Exam, they are Provisional Brokers, who must work at an apprentice level under the total supervision of a Broker-In-Charge, until they fulfill their Post-Licensing requirements of three 30-hour classroom courses in Broker Relationships & Responsibilities, Contracts & Closings and Selected Topics. The Provisional Broker must take at least one Post-Licensing course by the anniversary date of their licensure during each of their first 3 years after receiving their license. They may take all three within their first year. Once the Provisional Broker satisfies the Post-Licensing course requirements, they will be a full broker or non-provisional broker, no longer requiring the full supervision of their Broker-In-Charge.
